About the Exhibition

Counter Weight was born from friendship, survival, and the belief that art saves lives. Amid financial struggles, the Futurist Collective—myself, Ivan Cofield, and Tommy Vo—organized this Brooklyn exhibition, betting everything on our dreams.

Despite challenges and financial loss, over 1,000 visitors attended. New opportunities and deeper community bonds emerged, making it a transformational experience.

Nerves and Reaching for Dreams

For the three weeks during the run of the show, I didn't sleep well. I barely ate. I had random panic attacks. But at the same time, I've never felt so alive.

We were reaching for our dreams with all our might.

Aftermath

When we took the show down, it was bittersweet.
We lost money, but we gained so much more — a sense of purpose, community, and momentum.
